If you’ve been involved in any conversation about Peak TV in the last few months, there’s a solid chance you’ve talked about Fleabag. Originally a one-woman play by the LEGENDARY Phoebe Waller-Bridge (see our previous post about her genius on Killing Eve), the show centers around Fleabag, a 30-something woman dealing with a family in constant turmoil; a dead best friend; a love of sex; and, oh yeah, she’s also trying to figure out who the hell she is and what to do with her life amid all that drama.

A friend of mine made the
mistake of bingeing the entire series in one day. Two seasons of six 22-minute
episodes each? What’s the problem? Here’s the thing: Fleabag draws you in with the promise of excellent writing, comedy,
drama, etc. But then when you least suspect it, it hits you with an existential
feelings punch that you never saw coming. I found myself sobbing during much of
Season 2 as Fleabag came face-to-face with the person she was, is, and wishes
to be.

Now that you’ve finished
the show, you’re probably looking for more stories to fill that Fleabag-shaped hole in your heart, so
check out these 5 titles!
