It doesn’t bear thinking about. Lucky for us, they have anticipated our needs and created these things called books, which will allow us to take our obsession with their work to the next level. Hillary’s spunk and ferocity have inspired me my whole life. I am a stronger woman because people like HRC and Chelsea exist. Hillary’s determination to be a Woman who Does Things and Makes Things Happen and Chelsea’s ability to do the same thing with unmatched grace have reminded me that it’s not wrong to be opinionated and a little brash and maybe a little stubborn. That intelligence, competence, and work ethic are key, regardless of your gender. So when it was announced that they were writing a book about amazing women who inspired them, I knew this was a book for me, for my nieces, for my sister, my mother, and for, to borrow a Hillary quote, “all the little girls…never doubt that you are valuable and powerful.” These are women who were born into this world to inspire. I’m lucky enough to work at the publishing house where we can spread their inspiration, and you can bet your bottom dollar that I will absolutely be buying multiple copies of this book on day one.

I have been starting my days with Elvis Duran’s morning show for over a decade now, since I was in middle school, and I am far from the only one. Duran has worked at New York’s Z100 station since 1996, and still has that same outrageous sense of fun that keeps him and the rest of his radio crew in stitches. This new memoir looks back at how this DJ got his start working in radio, becoming famous for his proactive and incisive interviews with celebrities, and how throughout it all, he’s tried to advocate for positivity in every aspect of his career. A must-read for anyone who grew up listening to Elvis or just looking for the kind of joyous, bright memoir that makes you appreciate the voices from your car radio a little bit more.

But Laura’s story definitely isn’t all fun and games—she takes readers along on her sometimes self-destructive path to fame and her journey from being a “narcissistic coke-head” to a yoga-doing, dog-adopting, talented…IDIOT!

Jonathan Van Ness (JVN) is definitely a fan favorite on the show (tbh, they all are amazing, but there’s just no contest). In the latest season of Queer Eye, the guys stopped by his hometown and we got to see where he grew up, the high school he attended, and the theater teacher who helped him survive high school—an episode that required tissues for many fans. If you can’t get enough of JVN’s story, you won’t want to miss his new memoir, Over the Top. The contents of the book have been mostly under wraps until this week. His optimism on the show never wavers, but in his memoir he shares some of the trauma he experienced growing up. Some heroes wear capes, and others wear stilettos and crop tops....

I am a huge Queer Eye fan and I love all the cast members, but Antoni is always the one who I feel is the weakest link. Really, Antoni, you are a chef, but you are going to teach someone how to make avocado toast? So I am pleasantly surprised to see that the recipes in his cookbook look delicious—such as a poutine of tater tots. The cookbook is also part memoir, so you learn all about his trajectory to Queer Eye star. He may not be the best chef in the world, but he is definitely easy on the eye, and there are a lot of pictures of Antoni in this book, if you would like some eye candy while you are slaving away in your kitchen.

If you’ve ever even perused TV, you’ve seen Rachael Ray. As she approaches her 50th birthday, she reflects back on her life and career in the only way we’d expect her to: in a recipe book. She lets readers in on her family life, life-changing run-ins with muggers, and all the many jobs she’s had, all while sharing 125 different recipes, from the simple to the exquisite, bound to delight super fans and wannabe cooks alike. And did I mention the gorgeous food photography? So you’ve got a memoir, cookbook, and coffee table stunner all in one book—and I wouldn’t (nor should you) expect anything less from Rachael Ray.

“All I wanna get is a little bit closer” to the Tegan and Sara origin story and luckily, we can all now do just that thanks to their debut memoir, High School. The sisters’ gift for storytelling is apparent in their lyrics and also in their concert banter between songs, so it makes sense their next adventure would be writing a memoir. They wrote alternating chapters to showcase their unique voices and experiences. In their book’s press release they write, “How did you start your band? When did you know that you were gay? What were you like before Tegan and Sara? We have spent 20 years answering those complicated questions with simple answers. Writing High School gives us the opportunity to tell the intricate stories that shaped our relationship as sisters, musicians, and queer girls.”
