Una McCormack is the author of Star Trek: Picard: The Last Best Hope, as well as eight previous Star Trek novels. We loved her virtual panel at Comic Con At Home so we decided to pick her brain on what else she’s reading, watching, and listening to in 2020. Thanks for joining us, Una!

2020 has certainly given me plenty of time to stay at home and catch up on the media backlog. Here’s what I’ve enjoyed so far this year:

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

My six-year-old daughter and I adore Adora! The show is funny, inventive, exciting, heart-wrenching—a joy from start to finish.

Ducks, Newburyport

Ducks, Newburyport by Lucy Ellmann, is a 1000-page stream-of-consciousness novel from the point of view of an American soccer mom… No! Wait! Come back! I’ve been listening to the audiobook, read by Stephanie Ellyne, and it’s a fantastic reading that makes this outstanding, if daunting, book entirely accessible.

The Seep

Chana Porter’s first novel is about the impact of a gentle, benign, and absolutely all-encompassing alien invasion. Chana Porter breathes lush and poetic new life into familiar tropes, making them strange and beautiful again.
